I'm studying French Literature and English in the Sorbonne, I'm turning twenty in a month and when I heard of the "new wave" I've decided to try...

So I'm a little bit jealous seeing that you're all on the main list!
I'm asking for regions 15, 16 and 19. I have an appointment with one of my teachers on Monday, I'll hope she will give me a good grade. I can't wait to know if I'll be another French girl in England next year !

I think you're the alone from the Sorbonne University, as I am the sole candidate from Clermont-Ferrand, I think! ^^ But I guess there are candidates from everywhere in France, if I'm not wrong.

You're not alone, Gribouille, I'm a dude too!
Speaking of stuff that don't seem to happen much around here, I didn't apply for any region in particular, I'm cool with any place the CIEP send me to, as long as it's a rather large city (I'm not that much into the countryside way of life).

Anyway, I'm Nicolas, I'm in an L3 English major at Toulouse 2 Le Mirail (still on strike and I don't mind), I'm on the mainlist and... I can't wait to know where I'll be needed! I've never been to the UK, nor have I set foot on any english-speaking ground, but I spent most of my childhood travelling around the world because of my father's job. After six years in Toulouse, going to the UK for a year is gonna be a huge step towards my former nomadic habits.

I'm glad I found this forum and this specific thread, it's good to know we're not alone
And I don't think it's weird to speak english among french-speakers... It feels a bit like a game to me, and it's good exercice

Okay, now I guess it's my turn! I admit I don't write much on the website but I assume it's because not much is really happening now, let's wait for a little more action next fall when we're all up and ready to handle our students!! :-)

Anyway! I'm Caroline; yeah, more regular spelling than my pseudonym I finished my exams last week in Lyon, I'm finally done with my "Licence", hallelujiah! I just can't wait to move to the UK though adjusting to the British accent will be quite a challenge to me since it's not the one I speak with! but it'll be fun hopefully
I think it's really awesome to be given a chance to get to live in another European country!
My first two choices are London and Kent (now, I can rule out Northern Ireland since I didn't get an email today like the lucky ones who'll be there). I'm really excited about this first year as an assistant; yeah, "first" cuz I plan on applying for a second year but this time in the US (well, not right away, it'll be in the middle of my M.A)
